This documentation site is for merchants and shop developers looking to add a compensation mechanism to their shops. Typically shops either add contributions on every order (merchant paying) or allow customers to choose (customer paying).
We provide a simple HTTP API to allow you to estimate the footprint of products and services, register contributions for orders or cancel them (in case an order was refunded). Invoicing is done periodically (depending on merchant's preferences) by us sending an invoice to the merchant with the total compensation amount done in a given period.
API key all set?If you do not have an API key, please request one from your South Pole contact. If you do not have a South Pole contact you can register and request access.
The API key you have is a secret API key and should not be included in your front-end.
